Current regulations and, above all, logic require practical skills within the operation of portable firefighting equipment from each of us.
It may seem like a trivial activity, but in practice our notions differ from reality. The efficiency of extinguishing depends mainly on the ability to use an agent, not only on its quantity.
Our station is equipped with basins used to burn flammable liquids. Various sizes of basins force trainees to skilfully operate a firefighting jet.
It is possible to watch trainees directly, which enables the objective assessment of the exercise as well as making appropriate remarks.
The hardened and sheltered ground makes it possible to recover the used extinguishing powder and to dispose of it (it is a condition necessary for the station to be approved for operation).
